- Why Events Are A Bad Idea (for high-concurrency servers) – an oldie but good to keep you on your toes. I have been seduced by event driven systems for a long time. I thought SEDA was just wonderful when I first read about it. Message passing systems seem so much nicer to me – even if a little too esoteric for most people sometimes. However it is important to remember that threads can work well (just that it seems that most threading implementations are not up to scratch. Shame).
